Chris Derrick Bio

Christopher Derrick - Principal and founder of Derrick Architecture received his bachelor of Architecture in Structures from the University of Illinois at Chicago.  While attending the University of Illinois at Chicago, Christopher was a member of the Honors College and recipient of the John E. Walley Memorial Scholarship.  Before starting his own firm, Christopher worked in both Commercial and Residential Architecture firms in the Chicago and Florida areas.  Since college, his love for Traditional and Classical architecture has prompted him to continuing personal research and study of the subject.  Because of his concern for the architectural environment, he has served in the past as Vice President of Community First, an organization encouraging compatible redevelopment of established communities.  He is also the current and founding President of the Chicago-Midwest Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture
